Acupuncture began in ancient China and is utilized as a modern method of pain relief. It utilizes thin needles which are inserted into acupressure points which helps the body create its own natural pain relief chemicals called endorphins. Through this chemical release, acupuncture facilitates nerve activation, decreases pain and promotes relaxation and healing of the body.
Catering to the needs of the seniors in our community is very special to us. As we undergo the aging process we naturally experience decreases in strength, muscle mass, bone density, and balance. Unfortunately, these issues often result in pain, or reduction in mobility and independence. Exercise is one of the best ways to prevent or reduce the impact of age-related change. Our goal as clinicians is to work with our patients to reduce fall risk, maintain or improve mobility and increase strength and endurance of muscles in the comfort of their residence. We work with our clients to develop specific strength, mobility or balance programming that is safe and supervised specifically for their needs. We also are able to provide supplementary therapy to patients currently in hospital or other care facility by coordinating care with the treatment team and family members. We take great pride in providing care to facilitate the highest level of health and independence for each individual.
We treat various conditions including: Arthritis, Osteoporosis, Fractures, Stroke, Heart attack/ cardiovascular disease, Respiratory Disease, Parkinson's Disease, Joint replacements and Balance impairments
REPLACING HOSPITAL SERVICES
Healthcare Budget Cuts
Many physiotherapy services that were offered in our hospitals and healthcare system have recently been removed due to the federal health care budget cuts. We believe these services are pivotal to educated recovery following surgery or other ailments. If you, or a loved one are affected by the recent changes, we are here to help fulfill that role. Please contact us for more information.
WHO WE TREAT
Adults and Children
If you are finding it difficult to access the care you need, mobile physiotherapy may be the solution. We provide services to individuals with busy home or work schedules in whichever location is most convenient. Transportation and child care is not required as we are happy to serve you in your home environment. We are able to treat acute or chronic conditions and develop programming for a return to work/sport or simply to improve overall health.

Some of these conditions include: cerebral palsy, hip dysplasia, gait variation, muscle imbalances, overuse injuries, fractures, strains/sprains, and scoliosis. We determine an individualized treatment plan that is age appropriate to address their symptoms and aids management of their condition.
